Muhr Hydronic CO-TEC-series counter-current screens

CO-TEC-series counter-current screens

When the screen is congested, the CO-TEC cleaning rake drives automatically from the clear water side to the screen base and pushes the cleaning tines through the screen bars against the current. The rake drives upwards along the screen, reliably cleaning the screen of any adherent debris. Then the cleaning rake moves to the disposal point and the debris scraper pushes the debris into a container or a conveyor system.

RO-TEC Screen Drums

RO-TEC Screen Drums

The RO-TEC Screen Drums are used for fine and ultra-fine screening of waste water, industrial water, cooling water, etc. with mechanical pre-cleaning in water and waste water systems. The main areas of application include CSO’s, water extraction points on rivers and industrial waste water. Floating debris such as wood, plastic, paper etc. are held back from sensitive water bodies and then allowed to wash away in the waste water.

RO-TEC Screen Drums

Method of operation

One or more drum modules are rotated along their longitudinal axis by a submersible gear motor. The spiral arrangement of the screen bars means that the debris is transported both downwards as well as horizontally towards the drainage channel.

Externally, the debris is stripped off the spiral screen bars by a cleaning bar. Wedge-shaped screen bars prevent debris blockage. The water flows through the screen drum from the inside and rinses off the screen gaps with a counter-flow. The screen drum is thus intensively and automatically cleaned.

RO-TEC Screen Drums

Particularly operationally reliable

  • The functional principle, based on a pure rotational movement, enables simple construction, uncomplicated control and few mechanical components
  • No cost-intensive and labour-intensive maintenance work due to low-wear and low-maintenance, robust stainless steel construction
  • No adherence of debris due to wedge-shaped screen bar profile
RO-TEC Screen Drums

Particularly efficient

  • Optimized performance through ca. 50% larger screen area than conventional screens
  • Optimum screen cleaning through the reliable removal of the debris by means of downwards turning movement towards the drainage channel!
  • Intensive screen cleaning through back-flushing of the screen drum from inside to out (counter-flow principle)
  • Low energy requirement
RO-TEC Screen Drums

Particularly flexible

  • Quick and easy assembly due to modular design
  • Partial installation, full installation and retro-fitting to existing structures possible
  • No additional construction costs due to simple structural preparation
  • The RO-TEC screen drums will be perfectly adapted to your individual situation
  • HY-TEC Screen Racks

HY-TEC Screen Racks

HY-TEC Screen Racks

The HY-TEC screen separates solids such as, sanitary items, plastic materials, kitchen waste etc. in water and waste water courses. An integrated automatic clearing system cleans the screen and feeds the debris to the drainage watercourse. The use of the HY-TEC Screens protects the natural environment and mechanical equipment in equal measure. Cost-intensive and labour-intensive cleaning work for river vegetation, blocked pipework or pumps can be omitted.

HY-TEC Screen Racks

Method of operation

The parallel screen bars are cleaned and kept apart with multiple specially shaped teeth made from wear-resistant PE material. The scraping comb is moved backwards and forwards by a hydraulic drive, thus scraping the debris towards the waste water drain.

Control is implemented via an electronic controller with level or level difference measurement.

HY-TEC Screen Racks

Particularly operationally reliable

  • Reliable retention of the debris through operationally secure, well-proven screen design. The debris is not comminuted and pressed through the openings, but rather is released from the screen bars. Solids remain in the uncleaned water and do not reach the sensitive water bodies.
  • No cost-intensive and labour-intensive maintenance work due to low-wear and low-maintenance, robust stainless steel construction
HY-TEC Screen Racks

Particularly flexible

  • Partial installation, full installation and retro-fitting to existing structures possible
  • No additional construction costs due to simple structural preparation
  • Also available in pivoting design and with optimized or pivoting baffle
  • The HY-TEC screen will be perfectly adapted to your individual situation
HY-TEC Screen Racks

Particularly efficient

  • Maximum availability through specially shaped cleaning teeth that prevent the screen becoming clogged
  • Additional cleaning work on the overflow structures is no longer required! The debris retained is allowed to wash away in the waste water flow and can be removed centrally.
  • Maximization of the effective height and area of the screen through selectable application of a flow-optimized jam element with unchanged discharge height.
  • Low energy requirement
