Extra- & Ultra-Fine Screening

Extra- & Ultra-Fine Screening

Individual job requirements demand individual solutions.

Extra- and ultra-fine screening is the final cleaning stage of mechanical water conditioning. The screen system and mesh size are precisely tailored to the required clean water quality of the downstream processes and therefore ensure optimum reliability in conjunction with the maximum in efficiency.

With the HY-TEC screen racks, the RO-TEC screen drums and the MUHR PROFILTER travelling band screens with a mesh size of 0.2 to 10 mm, Muhr offers the ideal solution for every application.

The optimum configuration of the upstream coarse and fine cleaning with respect to the best possible operating conditions for the ultra-fine screening guarantees the maximum in operational assurance, also where complex requirements exist.

Muhr Profilter

Travelling Band Screens

  • SUITABLE FOR ANY APPLICATION
even in chemically aggressive environment, e.g. in sea water.
  • HIGHLY ADAPTABLE
easy integration both in new projects and refurbishment of existing plants.
  • LONG LIFE SPANS AT HIGH RELIABILITY
No corrosion because of consistent use of stainless steel. Low wear because of significantly reduced mechanical joints and friction points. No retension due to no elongation of carrier belt.
  • UNRIVALED SEALING
The unique dual sealing lip cares for maximum tightness.
  • COMPACT INSTALLATION SIZE
    because of flat-band-screen design.
  • ENERGY SAVING
25...30% less energy demand compared to conventional systems.

HY-TEC Screen Racks

With the HY-TEC Screen Rack the parallel screen bars are cleaned and kept apart with multiple specially shaped teeth made from wear-resistant PE material. The scraping comb is moved backwards and forwards by a hydraulic drive, thus scraping the debris towards the waste water drain.

RO-TEC Screen Drums

With the RO-TEC Screen Drum, one or more drum modules are rotated along their longitudinal axis by a submersible gear motor. The spiral arrangement of the screen bars means that the debris is transported both downwards as well as horizontally towards the drainage channel.

Externally, the debris is stripped off the spiral screen bars by a cleaning bar. Wedge-shaped screen bars prevent debris blockage. The water flows through the screen drum from the inside and rinses off the screen gaps with a counter-flow. The screen drum is thus intensively and automatically cleaned.
